Can I bring a church group?

Pastors and lay leaders may choose to serve as a team leader and bring along a small group from your own local area. Please contact us with any questions about this.

How will we serve?

The main purpose of our trip will be to minister the Gospel of Grace and release the healing, liberating power of Father, Son and Spirit everywhere we go. During the meetings, you will participate in prayer ministry, releasing joy, miracles and impartation. Our trip will include trips to garbage dumps and slums to visit the poor for outreach.

What is the cost?

The total cost is $1,750 plus you will purchase your own air ticket into Managua and back. The first deposit ($500) is due upon application no later than Sept. 31, 2020. The remainder of the payment ($1,250) is due by Nov. 15, 2020. Deposits are non-refundable, but may be applied to someone else if you are unable to go.

Where will we travel?

This trip consists of visiting TWO major areas of Nicaragua: the capital of Managua and the region of Esteli.

What do costs include?

The payments you make to Sons of Thunder will cover nice hotels for your entire stay, all of your ground transportation (including the trip between Managua and Esteli and back), as well as two meals a day and other costs associated with supporting the outreach. The costs do not include your flight to Nicaragua and back.

When do I purchase a flight?

This is a "make your own way" trip, which means you will be responsible for purchasing your own airline ticket into Managua (Arriving anytime on January 22) and back home from Managua (departing anytime after 5 p.m. January 28 - or anytime the following day of January 29). You can begin looking for tickets and purchasing them right away. Often friends and family have air miles they may want to donate to you. This is the benefit of a "make your own way" trip as you can potentially save on flights. Exact hour of arrival on January 22 is not important - the team will meet up either the evening of Jan. 22, or the following morning (Jan. 23) at the team hotel. We will send information about the hotel and meet-up once you apply.

Who can join this trip?

Anyone can come along who wants to dive into mission work and enjoys the love and power of Jesus Christ spilling out to the nations! Simply follow the steps above and you're on your way!

Are there age limits?

Sometimes age limits can be waived with parental consent.

What do I pack and what do I bring?

We will send various emails along the way, posting you on advice about packing, eating, currency exchange and many other details.
